Access lighting

Layering lighting in a room is also vital to control the look and feel a room emits. Lighting by Lux dedicated a post on “light layering,” which uses four main categories of lighting: ambient light, task light, access lighting and decorative light. Each category is unique, setting the tone for any occasion. I recently found these interiors of a home in Sydney on Desire to Inspire and thought the layered lighting was a perfect as a (layered) cake. The table lamp on the lanai is brilliant for outdoor reading (or sundowners). The lit art creates decorative element as the other light sources are dimmed and accentuates the homeowner’s collections. Although there are recessed ceiling lights, you can never have enough lamps to remove the shadows from the corners of a room. I have been following so many people on twitter that giving any of them a fair amount of attention has been neglected. In reviewing those I follow, I decided to narrow the list and note the most helpful to my kaarskoker fans. Lux Lighting is a Atlanta lighting showroom that has an incredulously informative blog with stories ranging from choosing a dimmer switch to lighting a room in layers.
